OUR FUNDRAISER WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!! THANK YOU!!!

We were able to earn about 8 thoudand dollars on saturday for my father in laws cancer treatment!!! We thank everyone so much who helped in any way. Thanks to J Daws(300 hot dogs sold), Jamba juice, cold stone, dominos, and so many other businesses and orginizations. Thanks to all to came and supported the bake sale, got haircuts, massages, tye dye shirts, cotton candy, the bounce house, popcorn, the balloon man, all the craft handmade items and the raffles. Everything turned out so well!! All the hard work and time it took to put it all together paid off. My sister in law Laurie and my brother in law Brett did so much of the work and getting all the raffle items...it wouldn't have turned out if it wasn't for them. You guys are awesome!!

The girls begged me for haircuts!!!

Aubreys turned out a little shorter than what I had planned. She kept moving around. So I had to keep fixing it. She loves it though and no more tears when brushing it out. Alli even said she wanted hers as short as Aubreys. Alli's turned out just how I wanted it too. Its so much faster getting them ready now. It gave me a chance to use my old skills too. I prefer massage still to hair stuff.

Brandon the hero of the day!!! Justice is served!!

So on friday morning Brandon was home unloading one of our trailers and I went off to the gym. He got a call from our sis in law Tara saying she would go pick up some groceries for The Jerk Shack but she just needed the money. Brandon was still driving down our street where we all live and told her he would take the money over to her house and put it on the table. Tara said ok and just so you know my sister is at the house probably still sleeping. Brandon pulled up and left his truck running. He walked in and heard a noise in the kitchen and said "hello?". No answer came. He said he thought maybe Tara's sister was undressed and didn't want to answer. He said "hello" again and a man came out from the kitchen and tried to run out of the house past him. Brandon grabbed the guy by the arms, lifting him up and asked who he was. He said his name was Steve and that he must be in the wrong house. Thats when Brandon knew something was very wrong. He let the guy down and threatened him, telling him that he needed to call his dad, and that if he tried to run he would take him down and that he would feel pain galore or something to that nature. I guess because he knew Brandons strength already he was scared and just waited while Brandon called his dad (who by the way is a detective in our city.) His dad arrived in about a minute or so and arrested him. They had been looking for this guy for several weeks now and Brandon had just saved them a ton of paper work not to mention they recovered a few valuables he had taken from the house. I also believe he is the one who has been stealing items out of cars on our street recently too. What a relief that Brandon just happened to be home that day (when he never is) and that it wasn't me or Tara who walked in the house. Maybe it was more than a coincidence, all I know is that the guy above is behind bars and that my husband is a hero for catching him. Way to go you big hunk. I love you

The Childrens discovery gardens @ Thanksgiving Point!!

We had a great time here. It was so hot though and the kids had a great time getting wet. On the way there Crystal got rear ended, I locked my keys in my car and Kellie got lost. Oh boy! Thanks to the Lehi cop who came and unlocked my car and didn't make me call a locksmith. What a relief!!

Kenny Chesney Concert last night!!!

This was such a fun girls night out. We had a blast and Kenny put on a fabulous show. It was 100 degrees which made it very sweaty but hey, the bottled FIGI water was only $4.50 a pop. We had fun watching all the drunk people and turned in a few smokers that wouldn't stop lighting up next to us. Thanks Mom, Crystal and Kellie who left her baby for the first time and cried when we left. I will remember this night forever and always. P.s the two downers were that sugarland cancelled and that Kenny put on a Utah hat for the encore part of the show.

Hiking to a waterfall in Pleasant Grove

Well a girl from my gym class suggested I take my kids and go hike up to these waterfalls in PG. So we did. Aubrey was at a Birthday party so I had to practically drag Jayden out of the house to get him to go. He insisted that he hated hiking and that he wouldn't like it one little bit. Alli was excited when I told her we were going to a waterfall and she could put her feet in the water. I stopped at my sisters house and talked her and her hubby and little madi into going. Good thing too cause I would not have found the trail head. We had a great time and that included Jayden. He said to me "that wasn't so bad after all mom", boy if I had a quarter for everytime I have heard that line.

Aubrey playing coach pitch!

Aubrey had a lot of fun playing this year. She never threw the bat and is still the fastest runner. When they tried to tag her out at home plate she would run around them and be safe. She is learning the rules and doing well. Her aunt Lisa even helped her one night by playing catch with her and teaching her how to stand and such. Thanks aunt Lisa.

Michael Jackson died this afternoon ( you will have to pause my music player down on the right side to hear the video.)

In 1985 this guy was my idol, I have to admit this. I remember going down to my friend Melanie Jenkins house and watching the thriller video @9pm everynight on MTV.
We had a block on MTV at my house. In sixth grade along with my friend in grade school we would put on the Thriller RECORD and dance to the songs on snowy or rainy days when there was only inside recess. I had so many dreams about him when I was a kid. I would dream that I knew him and that he would escort me to school and that everyone would be going crazy over him and boy was I popular. I did love his songs and I still do. Some of my favorites are "the way you make me feel", "PYT", "remember the time", "thriller(of course)", and I even remember watching captain EO in Disneyland as a kid. I loved those songs too. I wonder if there is a copy of that somewhere. I would love to own it. There are so many of his songs I still have memorized and I remember arguing with friends growing up about who had the lyrics right, especially "Billie Jean", theres a part that says "theres a chance he's not my son", and boy did we go the rounds with that. I know he got weird and kooky over time but he was such a huge Icon for me growing up in the 80's I will never forget. Boy did he get a surprise though when he died....I wish I could have seen the look on his white face.

Our 3 weeks in Flaming Gorge

We had a blast fishing here. We caught so many fish every day, it was so fun. I even pulled our boat for the first time from Vernal to Flaming Gorge and then all the way back home and I am proud to say... I didn't hit anything. The kids all loved reeling in the fish. We even caught a small macinaw trout and many kokanee salmon. They were delicious. We had our trailer of course thank goodness... it rained too much. Thanks to all that accompanied us like Matthew my brother, and Ryan and Rachel and Hokie (their dog) and Russ and his kids. Russ did manage to fall in too in the last 10 min before calling it a day. The water was about oh...57degrees is all. His kids were all freaking out but he drove home all the way wet he said later. It was a four hour drive. Men, huh! So we went 3 consecutive weeks starting on memorial day weekend. SO ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I BLOGGED. I KNOW!!

Mothers Day continued.......

Brandon was so sweet also on Mothers Day. He wrote me the following poem and I had to post it.
The Mother of Three
Hello my name is Michelle.
I am the Mother of three.
I'm married to a man named Brandon.
This is my life, come with me and see.
To tell the tale, where do I begin and what shall we see?
It starts with my alarm clock singing to me.
I wake Jayden first for the day, next is Aubrey, they don't want to get ready,
they just want to play.
Soon Alli comes from out of her bed,
I barely just finished getting the other kids fed.
Finally their off, and to work out I must go,
it keeps me fit and sane, don't you know.
I still have laundry, dishes, and bills to pay,
I wish I were on some beach far far away!
My life is hard its not easy you see.
But I am the best Mom.
I am the Mother of three.
Just ask my kids what they think and say.....
Your the best, most beautiful, and the Mom I want to be.
We all love you very much,
YOU'RE OUR MOTHER OF THREE.
Now this story that is so strong and so true does not end here
but deal with two.
Brandon wants to say with all of his heart,
I'll love you forever lets never part!!!
You are that special Mother,
I've always dreamed to see.
You have a tremendous love, You are a mother of three.
Your Father in heaven is so happy to see,
a righteous daughter of God
and a special Mother of three.
I was so blown away when I read this and so full of love toward Brandon. He really does get me even though sometimes it feels like he doesn't. I am so blessed to have a one in a million type of guy. Thank you so much. I love you. I better get brainstorming for Fathers Day!

Mothers Day!!!

My kids were so sweet to me for Mothers Day!! I just had to share what each one did. On Friday I went over to Allis Pre-school for "moms and muffins". It was so cute. Each of the kids had written a card for their mom and Julie helped them tell what they had written out loud to all the moms. Allis card read I love my mom because she makes corn dogs for me. My mom cooks the best quesadillas and spagetti and meatballs. Me and my mom like to cook together and she tucks me in very softly. So cute huh? Jayden was the first one in on Sunday morning. He presented me with his gift. It was the sweetest bird house with this spinning flower on top made out of wood. He had painted it. He gave me the biggest hug and was so proud of his creation. I loved it. Aubrey was next and had wrapped hers in a gift bag with plastic sacks for tissue paper. She had also picked out a card from the ones I keep downstairs and insisted I read it first. It said " You are the sweetest mom in the whole wide world. You love me. I love you. You are the familys greatest loved one in the family, in the world. I love you, Love Aubrey." So sweet right? You will also have to look at the poem she wrote lower. She apologized for using a kitten beacuse she knows I don't like cats. It was funny. Brandon also made me breakfast today. I had a total of 5 eggs on my plate in different styles of cooking. Wow I am so blessed to have all of them in my life. I wish all you moms out there the best today and hope its a good one!
