Riding the Mountains with Alli

Although you cannot see Alli very well in the second picture she got a sticker for taking her first flight on Space mountain. That was soooo cooool. I told her that her uncle Jared cried on that ride when he went his first time and he was even 5yrs old. Alli was brave enough to ride the matterhorn, splash mountain, thunder mountain and space mountain. It was great. Soarin was her favorite ride of all. She said that the matterhorn and Alice in Wonderland the ride were fun too.

Meeting Jack Skellington and Sally

Our favorite Characters to meet had to be Jack and Sally from the nightmare before Christmas. At Holiday time starting at the end of September the Haunted Mansion is decorated up like the nightmare movie. It stays like that through the first week in January. It is better that the original and our kids are terrified of the original so they love it. We had never seen them before so it was a real treat.

Attempting to pull the Sword from the Stone

Aub was hillarious trying to do this. She first tried hard and then had to stand up to try even harder. You can see Brandon on the phone in the background here to. Does he ever stop working? His theme song is Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho its off to work I go. I never stop as you can see Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho.

Halloween Party at California Adventure

This is always fun to go to. The park closes unless you have paid for it so they only let a limited amount of tickets be sold. We did this on Wednesday night. They give out trick or treat bags to everyone when you walk in and give you a special map that tells you where all the trick or treat stations are. They gave out really good candy this year and you can even choose raisins, apples, and carrots too. All the rides are open and you can meet a lot of the Disney villans and get photos with them. I wanted to get the kids with Captain Hook, Peter pan, and Wendy but the line was toooo long. Its great to see everyone in their costumes, a lot of adults go all out with Disney characters costumes. Its worth the extra cost. We highly suggest going to this awesome party!!

Allis favorite ride of all was SOARIN' over California so we had to do it several times. The night of Mickey's trick or treat party was the perfect time since the park was closed unless you paid for the Halloween party.

Toy Story Mania

Our new favorite new ride is this one, it was a blast and we like it better than buzz's ride in tomorrow land. Disney didn't let us down on this one, now as for the finding nemo ride, we can't say the same.

Meeting Mickey Mouse

Even more important than meeting the princesses is meeting MICKEY MOUSE of course. So here is Alli in her first picture with him. She was thrilled, just look at her big smile!!

San Diego Temple

On our way back from Sea world on Thursday I was able to snap this beauty. We love this temple and it was the first one Brandon and I vistited after getting married, on our honeymoon and we were asked to be the witness couple. It was so good to see it again and remember.

Sea World fun!!

The best part of Sea World was getting to feed the dolphins and the seals. The kids loved it and just dove right in you might say.....Ha Ha. No they thought it was so neat to throw the fish out to the seals and have them catch them. The one seal in the bottom middle picture kept barking so loud for more fish. It was funny.

Shamu Show

We had a great time at Sea World and it was very very hot that day about 90 degrees. This was one of the best shows. The other good one was the dolphins. I liked that one even better but I recorded some of that one on my video camera not my still one.

Ariels Grotto in California adventure

We wanted to Surprise Alli on our last day at Disneyland with a lunch at Ariels Grotto. It is pricy but Ariel and 4 other princesses come out and visit your kids right at your table. No standing in line for pictures is the best part. It was a huge highlight of our trip because of Allis reaction to all of them coming out. She was thrilled and it was worth seeing her so happy, after all it is the happiest place on earth. We watched the fireworks this night and said goodbye until next year. It is always sad to leave but we had a wonderful time with everyone and especially watching Alli do it all for the first time.

Downtown Disney

These were taken on our last day in California along the streets of Downtown Disney. The only group picture of the whole week was taken here.

Hunnington beach clip of Alli

We were surprised how hot it was at the end of October when we stopped here for an hour or so. The water was very cold but it was about 89 degrees outside. The kids had a blast and had to change before going to the airport, we also stopped to eat at BUBBA GUMPS it was so yummy. The only other one we have been to was in Maui so we were glad to find one close to where we were again.

The scarecrow festival

We have made this a family tradition to go to this each year and it is a fundraiser for a local elementary school too. They have lots to do and lots of food and booths. There are games and activities. It is held at Thanksgiving Point. In this picture the kids are holding their prizes from the fish pond. It was a chilly day but so much fun.
